Acceptable Uses
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) is presented to provide Users, along with any company or other business entity they are representing (collectively “You”), of Eyecaredirect’s various systems and networks (the “Service”) with information relating to Your use of the Eyecaredirect Services. The AUP applies to all Users of the Eyecaredirect Site and Service. It is your responsibility to keep up to date with the changes on the Acceptance Use Policy posted on this link.
Lawful Use
You may only use the Service for lawful purposes. You may not use the Service to facilitate the violation of any law, statute, ordinance, or regulation and you may not store, transmit, or transact any information, data, items, or services in violation of any applicable law, statute, ordinance, or regulation. Eyecaredirect may cooperate with legal authorities and/or third parties in the investigation of any suspected or alleged crime or civil wrongdoing.
Selling Products
Eyecaredirect is a marketplace for goods or services that are legally owned, licensed, or rightfully offered or accepted by End Users.
Data, information, items, or services must not:
- Violate any third-party intellectual property rights, such as copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other proprietary rights.
- Engage in the distribution of unsolicited email (“spam”), or support spam services, email lists, or any spam-related systems and/or software.
- Participate in the offering of items that are counterfeit or stolen.
- Engage in or support fraudulent activities.
- Involve the transaction of documents used for personal identification, including but not limited to passports, financial documents, and birth certificates.
- Engage in the transaction of stocks or shares.
- Involve the transaction of blood, bodily fluids, or body parts.
- Misrepresent goods, or involve goods that do not exist.
- Engage in activities that involve threats, harassment, or libelous activity.
- Contain material that constitutes “hate speech” or is otherwise offensive.
- Harm, or attempt to harm minors in any way.
- Contain defamatory, hateful, obscene, abusive, privacy-invasive, or otherwise objectionable material.
- Be part of any pyramid, phasing, farming, or Ponzi scheme or involve engaging in other deceptive practices.
- Contain any computer program or code intended to damage or interfere detrimentally with any system, data, or personal information.
Physical Equipment and Prescription Products
The sale and purchase of physical equipment related to optical products and services are allowed on the Eyecaredirect platform. However, the sale of prescription products is strictly prohibited. Users found violating this rule will face appropriate actions, up to and including permanent removal from the marketplace, as determined by Eyecaredirect.
General account use
You may not lease or sell Your account or any part of it. You must protect the confidentiality of your password(s).
Security
You must take reasonable security precautions in light of your use of the Eyecaredirect Service.
Payment Gateways
You must adhere to the Acceptable Use Policy and Terms of Service of any payment gateway that you use.
Other Third Party Services
You must adhere to the Acceptable Use Policy and Terms of Service of any third party sites, APIs, or plug-ins that you use.
Acceptance of Terms
Use of the Service constitutes acceptance and agreement to the EyecareDirect AUP. If at any point we find You have violated the AUP, then your account may be suspended or terminated without prior notice.
Violations
If you believe one of our customers is in violation of this AUP, Eyecaredirect requests that you contact support to investigate at contact@eyecaredirect.com
Updates to this Policy
Due to the evolving nature of technology, The Acceptable Use Policy may be amended at any time. Your continued use of the Service will constitute Your acceptance of and agreement to any changes or additions to this AUP.
